The distinction that decides everything: who signs the certificate
CCC and O Level certificates come from NIELIT, a body under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. BCC, DCA and ADCA certificates come from whichever institute you studied at. Both kinds are legitimate. They are not interchangeable.
A government recruitment notification that names CCC will not accept an ADCA certificate, however much more you paid for it and however much more you learned. It works the other way too. A private employer hiring an accounts assistant does not care that NIELIT signed your paper; they care whether you can run Tally and build a pivot table.

If your target is a government clerical or operator post, CCC is the qualification named most often, and ₹590 makes it the cheapest meaningful certificate in Indian education. Aim for grade A rather than a bare pass, because newer notifications increasingly specify a minimum grade.
If you want government IT work or a base in programming, O Level is the one to look at, and registering directly with NIELIT keeps it under ₹5,000 if you can study without a classroom. Its Python paper is where self-study candidates usually come unstuck.
If you want to be employable in an office quickly, a twelve-month advanced diploma in computer applications covering advanced Excel, AI tools and cybersecurity does more for your first interview than any certificate name. Two institutes quoting ₹12,000 for the same diploma can be selling completely different things. The variable that matters is hours on a keyboard, and it is almost never advertised.
Ask three questions before you pay anyone. How many students share one computer during practical sessions? How many supervised lab hours will I personally get? Is the government exam fee included in this figure or separate?
